Envirotech uses hydro-excavation for the utility clearance of large-diameter (10” and above) potholes. Hydro-excavation is the most efficient method to do so on the gulf coast, due to the sticky clays found here. For direct push sites, the utilities are cleared using a hand auger, as the direct push tooling is small enough to clear by hand.
